On The Road with Jesus is Angry: Part 10

Hollywood, California! Just arriving from some serious midwesterny parts and our feelings of confuzzlement can hardly be hidden. Under the traffic light you can barely see the Hollywood sign on the mountain.

Los Angeles traffic. Orders of magnitude better than traffic in most European cities, but still annoying.

Better view of Hollywood, and the sign on the mountain.

Sand dunes in the Arizona desert. Never-ending, perfectly straight roads, that go on and on for hours, blazing summer sun at around 125-130 degrees Fahrenheit, no tree anywhere in sight, just cactii and rattlesnakes, with the occasional abandoned car wreck. We got some gallon jugs of ice cold water, that were ready to brew tea in after 5 minutes in the car. We were regularly emptying these over our heads while driving, over our clothes and over the car seats. It merely took 10 minutes for it to be completely dry again! Did I mention that the vehicle had no A/C?

Pissing on the USA/Mexico borders, somewhere in California. That's by far the best use for borders that I've seen in a while now.

On The Road with Jesus is Angry: Part 9

Yet another vehicle used for touring a while ago.. Modified with the FWRL Touring Package, to reduce fuel consumption while increasing performance and reliability, to endure the hardships of touring. You can also see a CB antenna on the roof. CB radios are an essential tool for all self-respecting drivers, especially ones who drive long distances regularly. It is decentralized, peer-to-peer communication, with no service provider. It will work even during power-grid failures and cannot be easily censored or disrupted. Best of all, it is a fairly localized way of communicating road conditions, accidents, emergencies, severe weather conditions, cop positions, ask for directions and request assistance from fellow drivers. They are fairly cheap to get and very easy to use. Best of all, apart from the original purchase, it is free to use after that.

The USA/Mexico border from the Arizona side! It is a sad sight to see all them fences and walls and guards. Contrary to popular propaganda, the ideals on which the USA was built on, supported freedom, including freedom of movement. Having such fences, and such international intevention politics, should be considered a highly unamerican activity. Perhaps the bureau of unamerican activities should deal with itself and the ruling class first, before bothering with the general public.

Jesus reflecting all shades of tour exhaustion..

A very straight highway in Arizona, along the Mexico borderline. A sign directing you to the next exit for Mexico. Do you see how the road is more black on the right of the white line, than in front of the car? The faded color is the road being worn out from millions of vehicles driving over it, whereas the emergency shoulder is not used often, so is not worn out.

Thomas, the hottest drummer in the midwest, toured with Jesus is Angry on the 2010 USA tour. Killer music and fun times!

On The Road with Jesus is Angry: Part 8

A Full-Wave Rectifier Laboratories touring caravan somewhere in England...

Beddie the tour machine, with icicles and snow... The wood burning stove keeps it nice and toasty inside though, and melts the snow before it can pile up over the vehicle. This way, the tour machine can and has taken bands around the world in the most adverse weather conditions imaginable.

Yet another Full-Wave Rectifier Laboratories touring Bedford in the snow.

Jesus enjoying his breakfast at the Full-Wave Rectifier Laboratories Rural Culture Studios, while on a short break from touring to prepare for the next tour, in the olden days of constant touring...

The weather could not prevent Jesus is Angry from touring. Nor could the vast distances and long hours of driving. Malnutrition and intimidation by border cops were laughed at. Attacks by paramilitary groups were survived. Non-stop touring did not stop for anything..... until.... The worst evil of all managed to bring it to an end, for Jesus is Angry and several other fearless touring veterans: Massively inflated fuel prices, massively inflated road tolls, massively inflated vehicle taxation, and thievingly high mandatory insurance costs. The government has effectively outlawed touring!

No tour plans for 2013 yet. Might happen, on a small scale, or might not happen at all. If you want bands to keep on touring, all you need to do is overthrow the fascist dictatorships that are ruling Europe, overthrow the tyrants in the US government who are shitting on our forefathers' ideals of freedom with their abusive politics, overthrow the ruling class mafia anywhere in the world where they exist, and then make sure you start defending our basic human rights and freedoms at all cost, so that we will never have to witness such attacks on civil liberties ever again. Until then, do without live music. Sorry kids. Fun times are over. We are at war now.

Noisefest Documentary Taster

DRMK Noisefest - 13 years of noise! from Tinnitus Jukebox on Vimeo.

This is a short taster of what is likely going to be the best documentary film ever. It is being worked on for the past THREE years by Tinnitus Jukebox, probably longer in the works than any film ever made by civilized man. But the subject is well worth it. It is about the Nojzfest, an annual DIY experimental arts festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia, now on its 13th year.

From Tinnitus Jukebox:
Now about to enter its 13th wonderfully noisy and abrasive year, the DRMK collective's Noisefest again takes place on Fri 12th and Sat 13th April 2013. Held in the awe inspiring and graffiti art smothered autonomous social centre of Metelkova Mesto, in the heart of Ljubljana, Slovenia, the festival is more than simply a weekend of the finest noise.
Club Menza Pri Korotu is the venue - one of the many clubs, bars, workshops, galleries, anarchist libraries, resource centres and other such wonders that have flowered out of the former barracks of the Yugoslavian Army since it was taken over by artists and squatters in 1993.

On The Road with Jesus is Angry: Part 7

Gypsy Campsite in England.. There used to be plenty of those, but the cops are now evicting them one after the other. They can't stand the idea of freedom, it offends their sense of power.

Beddie and Jesus lived there for a few months.. Undisclosed location to protect the privacy of those who live there. Not really a museum. Just some people's choice of life.

By far the most friendly and accepting neighbors in the whole of the UK.

The Gear..

Ever wondered how Jesus is Angry creates all these weird sounds that you've been hearing for so long? Have you ever had the chance to have a closer peak at the devices behind the terrible noise?

That's pretty much how it all started..

We just dug out these pictures from a dusty shelf in our nuclear fallout bunker, here at the Full Wave Rectifier Laboratories, and thought we would let the world know what the engine looks like under the hood...

Jesus presents The End of the World radio show..

The End of the World presents a freeform selection of sounds, straight from the global DIY Underground. It is a conscious attempt at smashing corporate monopolies and censorship of music, as well as having absolutely no respect for copyrights and other forms of institutional strangling of the arts. Don't expect things to be genre-specific either. Jesus (the presenter, not the famous religious figure) plays whatever Jesus likes, and even some things he doesn't like, if that's what it takes for maximum impact.
